September 3: Woodlawn at Statesville Christian

Despite several shots on goal from Wesley Neal ’19 and Will Hedrick ’18 the ‘Blazers were unable to find the back of the net, and fell to the Statesville Lions 8-0. The first half was closely contested and finished 3-0, but the heat and a long week on the road proved too much in the second half. The varsity boys continue to show marked improvement with increased possession and willingness to win the ball in the midfield. Wesley Neal ’19 won 5 of our 12 balls in midfield. Nick Trovato ’19 turned away 25 of 32 shots on goal.
