September 15: vs. Victory Christian

The Blazers took a 1-0 lead against Victory Christian School when Hank Grzeszczak ’19 put away a shot in the first half. Jake Johnson ’17 then worked his way into the opponents’ penalty box and placed a shot past their keeper to put the Blazers up 2-0 going into halftime. The pressure increased in the second half, and by the end, goalie Nick Trovato ‘19 had turned away all 17 of the shots he faced. Hank again found the back of the net in the second half, giving Woodlawn a 3-0 victory.
