September 8: Woodlawn vs. Carmel Christian

Woodlawn’s varsity boys traveled to Matthews, NC to face off against a strong conference foe in the Carmel Christian Cougars. The Cougars controlled play off of goal kicks and punts, and their attack proved too difficult to hold. Despite a stellar game by goalie Nick Trovato ’19, who recorded 25 saves in the game, our boys lost 9-0. Next the ‘Blazers travel to North Hills Christian in hopes of bouncing back from this loss through more aggressive play and winning 50/50 balls in midfield.
