September 1: Woodlawn vs. University Christian

Our Trailblazers hosted the University Christian Barracudas for a rainy and storm-delayed contest. After twenty-six minutes of inspired play by our varsity ‘Blazers, in which they held the Barracudas to play in their own half, thunder and lightning sent us inside and into a game delay. When both teams retook the field the Barracudas jumped out to a quick two goal lead. Our ‘Blazers battled back with goals by Addie Shapiro ’20 and Jake Johnson ’17. Until the end of the game, both teams fought hard with the Woodlawn boys pushing hard for another goal. Nick Trovato ’19 made several key saves out of his 7 total to keep the game close.
